We provide in-depth group lessons for A-Level History students across major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC). Our sessions cover essay-writing techniques, source analysis, revision strategies, and exam skills in a supportive online environment.
Yes. I have extensive experience teaching A-Level History in English secondary schools. I hold a BA in history, PGCE and a MA in Education from the University of Warwick. In addition, I am an experienced examiner and moderator for the major examination boards, ensuring your child receives high-quality instruction.
Yes. We hold a valid Basic DBS check, giving you confidence that we’ve taken steps to ensure a safe environment for your child. While a DBS check is one measure of safety, we also follow safeguarding guidelines and use secure online teaching platforms.
We complete regular safeguarding training and know the UK guidance (Keeping Children Safe in Education). If a safeguarding concern arises, we follow the correct legal steps, which may include reporting to relevant authorities.
All payments are made through our secure online checkout, using reputable gateways like PayPal or Stripe. We don’t store any sensitive payment details on our own servers.
We offer a partial refund if you cancel before the course starts (see our Terms & Conditions). After it begins, refunds aren’t typically available, though we’ll consider special circumstances if needed.
We can’t promise specific results—each student’s effort and learning style differ. However, our structured sessions, exam-focused materials, and supportive teaching often boost grades and confidence.
We typically run sessions via a secure, user-friendly platform which is on Google’s platform. If you don’t have a Google account, all you have to do is sign up for a free account and you’ll be able to access the online lessons and materials. Group sizes remain manageable so that each student can ask questions and join discussions. Lessons are interactive and include resource sharing, like slides or worksheets.
Absolutely. We encourage parents to attend an initial part of a session or watch a sample to see our teaching approach. Many parents then allow their child to learn independently, but the choice is yours.
Our pricing reflects the tutor’s expertise, the high-quality materials, and the small-group format. Each session blends targeted teaching, exam-oriented practice, and peer interaction—all essential for exam success. Consider it an investment in your child’s academic journey.
We only collect essential enrolment details (like name and email) and do not share or sell personal information. All data is stored securely in line with GDPR.
We publish clear details on each package—topics, level of intensity, scheduling—to help you choose. Still unsure? Feel free to contact us; we can recommend something based on your child’s goals and current progress.
A reliable internet connection, a computer or tablet, and a microphone are sufficient. A webcam is recommended for more interactive participation. We’ll advise on any specific apps or software as needed.
If you let us know beforehand, we’ll do our best to record the session (with everyone’s consent) or provide a summary of key points. Regular attendance supports continuity, but we understand that sometimes absences can’t be avoided.
Our main focus is group tutoring—peer discussion helps students thrive. However, we can explore one-to-one support if a student needs more focused help, subject to tutor availability.
Our A-Level History Masterclass runs every Wednesday evening from 6pm to 8pm (GMT), while our A-Level History Coursework (NEA) Masterclass takes place on Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm (GMT). This schedule ensures students can attend both if they want comprehensive support on content and coursework.
